Peter Eichwald joined CK Derm in early 2019. Peter was raised in Redding California and attended Shasta High. He earned a bachelor’s degree in creative writing, editing, and publishing from California State University, Chico. He also holds master of oriental medicine degree from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM, a nursing degree from Shasta College, and a master’s in nursing degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.
Peter has had an eclectic professional career. He has practiced acupuncture in Klamath Falls and Beverton, OR. He has served as an RN several specialties at both Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff. He as also provided service to patients at the Redding Endoscopy Center, Seneca Health Center in Chester, CA, and the Redding Rancheria Health Clinic.
Peter’s father, Michael Eichwald, MD, practiced dermatology in Redding for many years until retirement in 1998. He resides in the same neighborhood as his parents. Pete is a person of many hobbies. He enjoys fly fishing, cycling, gardening, crosswords, reading, camping, Volkswagens, and cutting boards. Pete has one sister, is married to Jennie, and currently resides with cat Andre, and dog Javier.
