Rosacea is an extremely common skin disorder causing facial redness and swelling. If you’re a fair-skinned woman, you are more likely to develop the disease. It can be referred to as adult acne, and can often be exacerbated by a flush or a blush. Sometimes rosacea and real acne occur at the same time. It can come and go over the years, affecting the eyes and often presenting with a burning sensation.

We often recommend a combination of treatments including topical prescription products, oral antibiotics, coated aspirin, and sunscreen. We can also remove enlarged vessels with specially designed lasers. Any treatment requires proper diagnosis. Diagnosing your rosacea by yourself is not recommended and over-the-counter skin products can actually make your condition worse.
